First in Forever

Summer vacation is done, and back to the grind of school and regular life. I was looking back over my journal, and I remembered a poem that I wrote. I wrote this strait through (no editing) at about 4 O’clock in the morning, after getting home from hanging out with some friends. It was a night that I had a lot going on in my heart, but I enjoy how it turned out. Here it is;

O’ priceless night,
I wish to hold you tight.
Let go I wont,
not till mornings light

My souls in darkness,
hurts and longings
lead me to cry out.

God answers with the softness,
listen
can you hear
He’s there
and will drown your fears

Shadows are deep
but nothings to steep.
within Gods Will is a mine field
follow closely
and get your mind blown.

Hearts at rest
makes me to be at my best.

And as for the end
God has made it clear.
Nothing ventured
nothing lost
but something left unfound,
worth more than all the pounds in Brittan

This is where I end and he begins
